To compliment this mighty fine compadre, I would like something for relic hunting, and if it's as good as this compadre, I may trade my 8 inch compadre for a 5.75 inch, one but I don't know, it seems the compadre I got is kinda hot.
well if you won't a good tasoro go with a Vaquero or if you won't a good tasoro go with outlaw its like do you won't a red apple or a green apple me i like the red apple
I use the Vaquero for relic hunting with the 10x12 Widescan coil. It is deep, but loves iron if you are running it supertuned, which is how I run mine when relic hunting, but in the areas I hunt I dig everything. When not supertuned it is a smooth running machine.
I think the Vaquero will get you a little more depth, but the versatility of the Outlaw with the 3 coils would be hard to beat.
For relic hunting , having owned both now , but not a lot of experience with the VAQ i would go with the VAQ as it has deep seeking abilities of r deeper relics, the VAQ is deeper than the outlaw in all metal but in my ground I do not think its going to be deeper in its disc mode I find the 5,75 concentric to be no deeper than the compadre 5.75 in my soil true , if your soil is lightly mineralized you will get better depth with the vaq, I used the outlaw for relic hunting and it could hit bullets at about 7" in disc and deeper in all metal and the outlaw can ignore lots of small junk far better than the VAQ in all metal the VAQ is deep on even small things small tiny nails 6 " deep with good sound but if I was going out to a soccer field the outlaw is king .
I have never use the Outlaw, but can tell you the Vaquero is a fine detector. If you want a relic detector, take a look at the Tejon..... it's a depth demon in good ground. In my ground my Tejon was about 3 inches deeper than my Vaquero with stock coils.
I got almost the same depth with my 5.75" concentric coil as the stock coil on my V. Never tried the small coil on the Tejon yet, but will bet it is deep also. It would be nice to try both detectors, but if you can only have one, get the Vaquero........HH
