VAQUERO MAIDEN VOYAGE

Hey guys
I was able to get out for about an hour in our yard yesterday (thats been hunted many times by my other detectors) for the first hunt with my new Vaq.As you can tell by the pics I'm not very good at target size disc.Found a few pieces of big iron,a pair of glasses without the arms,1 button,1 penny and a tag that says best in show:shrug:(looks like it might could be silver no markings) and only one pulltab:clapping:I only dug 17 targets and as you see my ratio wasn't very good but I'm just now learning.I was shocked at the depth compared to my other detectors I have used.I really like the machine and Thanks to all you guys for your help in deciding on a Vaq.HH

Nice going! I really like that best of show pendant.

tabman

Nice pendant find , you are doing good , if you think you dug some trash just follow TAB that is how you find the gold

pretty good ratio. sometimes i go as high as 30 to 1. thats how you find the good stuff.

Luck and HH

Thanks Kenny It is suppose to be warm enough to get out again Wed I hope.
Hey.... At least you can get out and hunt! We're frozen solid here in Michigan......

Metalfun with a little more practice you should be able to weed out some of the trash. Round targets give a cleaner audio response and have no scratchiness on the beginning and end of the audio. When audio is all you have to focus on, you will get real good at it with practice.

Glad to hear you are liking the new Vaq.

What exactly (temperature) is warm enough to hunt? LOL!

Tell me about it. I went out on a club hunt Saturday and it was muck, wet snow, and frozen ground! Now more snow is coming tonight.
