I believe I found a used Vaquero but I still have no headphones. I was told killer B basic was good for me what do you think???? I need a set that I can grow with.

Thanks for any insight for this newbie!!!!

If you can make a good buy on any of the Killer bees, Ratphones, Gray Ghosts etc. I think you'll be in good shape.

I own the Killer B's basic and the Gray Ghost basic.

They are both 150 ohm. The basic have just one volume

control. If you hear about equal in both ears, they work fine.

That and a on/off switch are the only controls

on the basics.

The gray Ghost block out more out side noise,

but the volume adjustment klicks are wider than

the ones on the Killer B's, so it's a little harder to

find that "just right volume " on the GG.

The Killer B's sound a little clearer to me and I

use the Gray Ghost as a back-up pair.

I broke my Killer B's once and ordered the GG

as back-up while I waited on the Killer B's to

be fixed free. The Killer B's got back before the

dealer could send my GG !!!!!! WTG Killer B's.

Don't want to be with out good headphones.

I have a set of Sun Ray Pro Golds and a set of the new Ratphones. I like them both. Both very comfy and both have great sound. The Sun Rays are a bit "louder?" on hits at same volumes. They both block sound very well, "IMHO" I think the RATs block a bit better. The single thing I like about the RATs is the cord. I do not know what it is made of or how. I know it will not kink up. That is very nice I will say that. Another thing is the cord on the rats can be field replaced if needed. My Sun Rays could stand a new cord now. To have that done I have to send the whole set in.

IMHO dual volume and a good set of phones is a great thing, Beale.
