Vaquero gets V nickel today

I found this 1887 V nickel today in the old picnic grove we have hunted for years. Also dug a couple .22 bullets and one unfired .22 round along with a few shotgun brass and square nails. So far the Vaquero has found 5 V nickels, 1 buffalo, 2 mercury dimes, 1 barber dime, 1 indian head penny,
and 3 wheaties in this grove that we have pounded hard with several 1200 series Fishers and 3 CZ's, and it's finding coins in areas that have really been hunted hard with the other detectors. My hunting buddy brought his brand spanking new Compadre over this afternoon and found a 1936 buffalo
nickel and a couple little metal kids toys. ( see deerhunters "new compadre" post for pics of his finds)..............HH

Thanks guys, I love the Vaquero more each time I take it out hunting. I started out hunting yesterday with my CZ5 and 10 1/2" coil and had to give my arm a rest after an hour or so swinging it. Never have that problem with the Vaquero...it feels like a feather after swinging the CZ5.
The Vaquero has impressed me with the finds it has made in this well hunted grove, especially on the nickels it has found. Tesoro makes excellent detectors and the Vaquero is very impressive detector. The only thing I would like to see different on the Vaquero is a 3 tone ID.......HH.

I hunted areas with a Cibola where I had previously been in with a 1266x and the Cibola outdid the FIsher. The Tesoros are great detectors. Great finds with your Vaquero.
