Vaquero - First Hunt - First Beach Hunt

Used my Vaquero for the first time today - at the beach. I was very pleased to get 25 coins and a small silver charm in a little less than 2 hours. 20 coins and the charm were from the dry sand - five coins were from the wet sand (where I had to turn down the sensitivity). I can hardly wait for summer when the number of targets should increase significantly.

Congrats on a successful first beach hunt!

I bet it won't be too long before you start venturing more into the wet reaches of the beach ... and will be looking to add a water proof detector for places that the Vaquero would not survive. When I have enough room to pack more that just two water proof detectors for a beach trip, I like to take along the Tejon with the 3.6 x 18 inch coil to cover dry sand areas and the walk ways to the beach. It is not a good set up over the wet salt parts of the beach, but just nails a lot in the dry areas after the blankets and towels get picked up. Also does very well helping people find keys they just lost in the sand when they packed up to go to the car.
Cheers,
tvr
