Vaquero finds my 1st Buffalo & Silver quarter!!

Beale

New member
Well I went for a quick huint after work today. I hit an old homesite that has been good to me. I was working the front yard and got a nice hit. Well I dug a plug and out pops my 1st Buffallo Nickle! A well worn 1936 As I rescaned the hole I saw a glimmer of silver. I pulled out a sweet 1942 quarter, also my 1st!!

This yard has been hunted many times by mewith the Minelab. The only silver I have found has been with the Vaquero, Beale.

Congradulations Beale,
I also found my first buffalo nickel with my Vaquero detector and it was found after many a machine had scanned over the area before. It was dated 1919 and was only a couple of inches in the ground.
I was surprised to find this after so much hunting had taken place by me and others in this yard.
I still go in there from time to time and still find a coin or two now and then.
Keep up the good finds,
Felix

Awesome find!! Always fun to find silver, especially a quarter! Good work! Those old home sites are so much fun, especially if you can find one that has virgin soil.

WoW!

You guys are doing great finding older coins!

I gotta get out of the parks and hit some old houses...

Nice finds.

I've had little luck with old coins.

Keep it up.

HH,

My first real coin (non-clad) with my V was a 1899 IH, Sweeeet.

WTG!!!
Nice finds - good to be able to read the dates on both. Sounds like that Vaquero is an effective keeper.
