Vaquero coils (15x12 butterfly and 3x18 sweep)

Had a few questions about both...

15x12: Does this coil go deeper than the 9x8 stock? If so how much deeper?

3x18: Is the detection zone on this thing the entire 18"? Does it provide a substantial benefit to searching sports fields, farmland, etc? Depth?

The 3.6 x 18 sweeps the entire length of the coil. The one I have air tests between two and three inches less than the standard 9x8. I love the 3.6 x 18 for sports fields where I am not looking for real deep stuff but want a lot of area coverage. It pinpoints accurately just off the center of the tip at either end. I also use it over the dry sand at the beach.

Have not tried the butterfly coil.
