What could someone expect for depth if they rigged a clean sweep onto a Vaquero? Has anyone ran this set up?

No .... but I was considering snagging one it it came my way

Seems as though Tesoro would make more... surely they would sell... I know 3 people that would buy one at this very moment.

I've been watching for one for over a year. No luck.

On beaches I hunt, a few years back I had the cleansweep coil on my vaquero....8" on a nickle and thats supertuned.
That coil covers alot of ground and gets decent depth.
Tesoro doesnt make that anymore? Thats a shame, they must not have been a good seller.

I'd guess that the same mold is used for either four or five pin versions. How hard can it be to do the required windings and stuff 'em in the case?... Just wondering. I'd like one as well.

as we all know no one knows what happens behind the hallowed walls at Tesoro , but from my documented experience with this coil and Tesoro is they do not know how to make it anymore, along the lines of the Golden their computer had a brain fart and they lost the spec's .

i know they did suffer from splitting, but like pinenut has said put it in the 5 pin mould/plastics and for that reason and the other has me believe the 1st reason, they do not know how to make them spec wise...

Or they just don't give a sh$r and answer to nobody which is in line with their business plan, "Tesoro do what Tesoro want"

Even if they just ran one batch of a couple dozen or so per year, I bet they'd get 'em all sold.
Maybe the 4 pin version is wound with silver wire and they're waiting for silver prices to drop...
