Vaquero and XLT, Teknetics

Had to get rid of the Deleon as it was not doing
well in my soil so I opted for the Vaquero and its
manual ground balance. I'm also on the lookout
a used Whites XLT which I 'd like to purchase
after the holidays.
Lastly, does Teknetics make a decent machine ?

I've had two XLT'S and really liked them, as a matter of fact I've had quite a few detectors through the years. Garrett's, Minelab, White's At age 56 I started looking at simplicity, light weight and comparable depth to the XLT. I now own a Tesoro Vaquero and Teknetics Omega. I run the 11" dd coil on the Omega. I've had these detectors for a couple of months now.The Vaq is light, simple and a joy to hunt with. When I bought the Omega I'll have to admit I was a bit skeptical about buying one. But after I read about all the metal detector companies Dave Johnson has work for and what he has done for them I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. The Omega is a great detector in my opinion. Gets great depth, light weight and no more scrolling through a menu. I'm going to keep my eyes on Dave and First Texas to see what else they come up with. The only way you will know about any detector is use one yourself on your ground. Hope this helps you some.
