Vaquero and stone walls

Is there anyway you can keep it quiet when hunting a stone wall? It seems to go haywire everytime i get near one.

More than likely it is the minerals in the stones. One option is to reduce sensitivity, but better yet ground balance on a couple of the stones that are as close to the ground as you can. I have alot of hot rocks in my area, so sometimes I have to reground balance when I hit them and reground balance when I get out of them.

ya i think smokey is right especially if the house was burned down something about a rock that has been in a fire can make the detector go off or it could just be the stones themsef just try ground balancing over them my old GT sovereign was good in that kind of stuff,

Some brickwork uses rebar in it to reinforce/support it. So maybe it is picking that up? It is made of steel so it should discriminate out. Rebar is common in sidewalks as well as most concrete structures. I usually get hits of it around basketball courts.

I'm thinking ground balancing to the stone in the fence is probably the best approach.
