i have both of these detectors.they both can operate in the 14.3khz range according to tesoro, therefore what would be the advantage of putting a 5.75"coil on the vaquero if as i say ,i have both?reading back posts as far as#88 and what was said,on what a difference the smaller coil made to the vaquero.is this if you only have a vaquero?or does the gb function really make this work better than one without. hh see you blowfly :detecting:

I have a V. I have the stock coil, but I keep a 5.75 concentric on it.

I have a Compadre with a 7" coil. It's sick, so I have a new Compadre

with a 5.75 coil on the way.

For my uMax'es I have 10X20, 8X9, 8", 7" and 5.75, all concentric.

I have not tried DD coils wet.

Happy Hunting,

Tabdog
