Vaquero air test

Tony

Member
I know, I know...air tests mean nothing...right ?

But I am gobsmacked at the air test of my Vaquero when tested against a mens 18kt wedding band....supertuned and max sensitivity is something to behold. Leaves my other "top" VLF's looking very ordinary.

I will do some inground tests to see if things balance out more.

Tony.

I know what you mean. I have this gold, wire ring that I use as my "standard". I believe the V would hit it at about 11" in air with the standard coil. In the field I was pulling out coinage at 7" with sens at the very bottom or at 2 most of the time with the 5.75 coil. I am pretty sure that another V is in my future, probably for next year. Just keep the batteries fresh, especially rechargeables.
