Vaquero 1st impression

1st, thank you Shenandoah Digger for the good deal on the Vaq everything works

The Vaq is my first Tesoro brand detector. The only thing I knew of the Vaq was intentionally from post on this forum, then from the Tesoro website.
I own plenty of other brands of detectors but none as small as this Vaq, you forum people are right this machine , packs big power in a small box. Was really impressed with the notch ability of the disc, very sensitive , the target separation and response is very fast , like the v sat on the mxt or gmt. The simple beep only is a real pleasure to use, no TID very basic and Hobby like. I was swinging very fast, not a car less weed wackier fast but consistent thorough speed and found plenty of clad in turf. Are all Tesoro machines this well understated?

Yeah i love my vaquero but i keep getting drawn up into looking at the etracs and explorers LOL Fancy stuff :wiggle:

Funny to read this. I'd just read a similar question this morning on another site. Some of the replies simply stated it's because of Tesoro's appearance....it looks too much like a "toy" so it's not "taken seriously". If I like the new one I have coming, that will be fine by me.......less competition :detecting:

Glad to hear you were happy with yours!

yeah dont let the appearance fool you it is a very powerful detector. I also love the fact that you can swing it about as fast as the shaft and your arms will let you, one of the fastest recovery speeds on the market. I have found quarters approaching 10 inches when relic hunting IE very little discrimination. Look up "super tuning" too if you are not familiar with it. It can give you about an inch more, But can be a little noisy if hunting very trashy sights.
