I got hold of Sven to see if he would put a ten turn pot in the Vaquero ground balance circuit for me..My guess is that the ten turn will allow me to get closer to the balance point, and allow finer adjustments toward the ground side...This should translate into better sensitivity..I had a Fisher T20,made by Tom O'Hara in Florida .It had a ten turn pot for ground balance, and would kick everything except Tom's own machine.Getting some extra play dollars, and I've wondered if this would work..So, soon as I get paid, the "V" gets shipped..The only test I will be able to make until the soil thaws, will be the ground balance. If the ground balance can be set dead silent in this ground, the possibility exists my hunch was right. If not, I got a better pot in the machine than the factory supplied. Next, I'll start wondering if some sort of meter could be hooked up to monitor ground balance in operation.., Then, you could visually see the optimum level for maximum sensitivity.like the Fisher...We all have our perfect detector dreams...Cordially Nad
