Vaq finds My 1st Gold

Found this 14k gold chain in a tot lot that I have been to 3 times already this year, right under the little hanging monkey bars. found about 1$ in change acouple weeks ago there so I went back. it was still clasped so somebody must have been hanging upside down.

Did you weigh it?

Looks pretty heavy.

With the mass of the thing, it's supprising

you missed it before.

But, in your defence, a chain is so long and

the linkes cause it to sound funny.

Anyway, it's always a learning experience

even if you have been at for a while.

it weighs 13.8 grams and is 19" long. Im positive it was not there before. it was right where a bunch of change was before. I think it was a fresh loss for someone. it was just barley covered up with wood chips.

Hay Cjruger,

that is a fabulious first gold find.

My heaviest gold find was a class ring at 8.45 grams of 12k gold.

It said 10k, but I tested it repeadedly with a good eletronic tester

and fresh acid. After that it was a few rings around 5 and 6 grams.

All togather I have found about 90 grams, mostly 14k, in the last

9 1/2 months.

Most of my gold finds are small ear rings and pendants.
