Vaq coil cover question

Would someone be so kind as to post a pic of the bottom of the 8x9 concentric coil and a pic of the coil cover where it fits over the coil. I can't get the cover on the coil no matter how much persuassion. I've never run into a problem like this before. On the cover around the spokes where it attatches to the coil there is about 1/4" of raised plastic like a rim around the spoke. Does this sound right? It's so tight I'm afraid I'm going to break the coil.

If you think it is hard to get the coil cover on the 8x9, try taking one off (even worse). I never had a problem getting the cover on myself just getting it off. Steve.

After I got my new (to me) V I immediately removed the cover to clean it out. Just took a butter knife and slowly worked it around between the coil and the cover. Careful doing this as I have taken small chips out of other coils before doing this.
I was surprised at how much dirt was in there.

It was a piece of cake to get back on, though. Just matched up everything and it popped back on.

Hey Gary,
Here are some pics I took for you to check out. Hope they are detailed enough for a comparison with what you have.
I don't know if there is a difference in the coils, but Tesoro has two 9x8 coils.... one for the "hot" detectors and one for the standard Umax models. Maybe the covers are different for each coil. Just a thought I had.
Hope this helps some,
Felix

Thanks fellas, especially Felix for posting the pics, looks dead on to what I have. I've tried everything to get the dang thing to go on. I had the cover pretty soft using my wife's blowdryer. It was close but no cigar, the cover is too small or the coil too big. Interesting about two 9X8 coils, but I'm just guessing that they are using the coil cover for both models. Will go to the local dealer this weekend to see what he has to say. I'm not willing to break this coil over a darn cover because this box and this coil are attaining really good depth together, I'm impressed, I had a Lobo ST at one time and I'll tell you for a fact that this Vaquero hits deeper than my ST did. If I have to I'll run it without a cover so be it. Thanks again!
