Vaq,Any Good For Gold Prospecting??

No where near the best, but it will function if you are looking for nuggets of a decent size.
 
I have a vaq and a gmt,a diablo umax(the all time best gold detector) and gold demon2 and I had lobo supertraq.The vaq with a 5.75 concentric coil (not the double d coil) is sharper on small gold than my whites gmt with the stock coil. the only problem with the vaq for prospecting is that you can`t lower the sensitivity in the all metal mode.If you get in real bad ground you might have some promblems, other than that yes you can go nuggett shooting with a vaq,and I have heard a lot of peaple have done real well with it.
 
The Vaq is a great general use machine but in high mineral ground I couldn't balance it worth a darn, it was hard pick up a dime on the surface, to much chatter.
