Vanishing Signals?

rarysgaard

New member
Recently I have been getting good ring sounding signals with my excaliber in the water only to miss the target on the 1st scoop and then never to be heard again. Switched into all metal, angled sweeps, dug some more scoops and nothing. Of course it only happens on the ring sounding tones. I never have a high pitch signal disappear on me. Any help on this problem? Thanks!

If the water is cloudy enough where you can't see the target my money's on pull tabs/foil seals. :) If they're light enough, they can easily get pushed to the side once you break them loose from the bottom.

agreed,When I was water hunting, used to use coil to fan away the sand, and if target dissapeared was likely a small piece of foil.
