I've once again proven to myself that I made the right choice with the X-terra 70. About 18 months ago I buried a replica CW buckle in backyard at 11 measured inches deep for test target purposes. I let it sit 6 months and then tried with the MXT I had and I could not, no matter what I did (stock coil) detect the buckle. I then took my Tesoro Eldorado and tried and in all metal it could pick it up, but that's just an indication that something is buried there. Some time elapsed and I forgot about it, then recently when I tried to figure out where I buried the buckle, I couldn't figure it out and as recently as 6 months ago tried again with the MXT, no go. Well, I needed to dig it up since we're gonna move. I took the 70 and tried and bang it picked it up and just gave enough of a signal (sens at 25) to tell me that's what it was (no false iron, was giving a 32 and 34). So I dug and sure enough I was right on top of it. I was using the MF 10.5" DD coil, but I wouldn't consider the depth capability that much different than the stock concentric on the MXT. I just think the X-terra is a better machine for me.
