vacant lot hunt

Got permission to do a vacant lot that nobody seems to know much about it's history. Had 2 hunts so far totaling about 5-6hrs and haven't found much as far as older coins (I'm a coinshooter) but still learning the Et. Yesterday I found 30 clad plus this campaign pin and today I found 39 clad plus 2 wheaties and this gold ring (14k) that I'll return to the owner along with the campaign pin. Looked up the campaign pin and it dates back to 1924 so there's still hope for some older coins maybe. Really warming up to the Et and once I get a little better with it I'll try it on some of the "better" (silver) properties I've lined up this past winter......
 
Great job. That is a nice hunt the mighty E trac will thunder on silver coins when you put the coil over them. happy Hunting.

Nice finds.........You'll be digging silver there! That looks like a pretty good sized diamond in that ring!
 
The ring LOOKS good and I can barely read 14k on it but there's more writing I can't read? It may be plated but it feels heavy? Came in at a textbook 12-13. I really don't know....but I'm a coin guy and my agreement with property owners is always that I keep all coins and they get everything else (usually they just want to see the stuff)..... I hope it's a good one for them... That'd be cool if the ring IS a good one with a diamond.

Nice to finally get out swingin but I'm getting awful anxious for some silver coins!!!!!......lol

Nice to see the snow is melted in Thompson...now you will really be able to start learning that etrac. Myself and my best friend are heading up that way this summer, maybe we can all squeeze in a hunt together.

Bill shoot me a PM when you guys head up this way. Looks like you've hit some goodies recently! The E has really impressed me lately on a few things and it's all starting to come together. Haven't got the coil over any silver yet but that may change today, I'm gonna get started on what I think is the best of the privates I lined up this winter....????
 
Great finds, If the winter here in SD will ever end I need to get more time in on the E-Trac
