vacant 1860 home gives up another silver

Ohio Digger

New member
Went back to the vacant 1860 home I have permission to hunt. One of the first signals was this nice 1907 Barber quarter. This is my second Barber quarter from this spot. I had only been here about 30 minutes and figured it was going to be a great day. Well I stayed 3 hours and only got one more coin - a 1972 Jefferson :( It has a huge front yard but I'm not sure it holds much potential. The good finds have all come from a little 20x30 section on the side of the driveway. I might give it one more shot and see what I come up with. It's been terribly dry so I don't know if that is causing depth issues for the Etrac. It was still nice to get out for a while.

I have never had dryness affect depth for me on the etrac, I think silver screams out when it is real dry, plus you get a lot LESS iron falsing on deep nails when it is dry

great looking barber!

That is a Beautiful Barber Quarter! Two out of one yard is a good sign! I hope you find a lot more there, Good Luck!

Great looking Barber - congrats ! :clapping:
