Vac Tones

The Bat

New member
I' ve only been detecting now for 2 to 3 years and recently purchased the Vac. Am i tone deaf or does the Vac use the same tone and pitch for every target. So far with the Vac I have found a 1879 IH and a Civil War bullet on my property in Bardstown, KY. Thanks for any info and or tips. Paul Barber (The Bat)

Same tone, but as digitaltim said, listen for the slight variation within that tone on different targets. Is it clipped or does it pop or crackle, this will also be affected by the disc setting. You can tell some targets by checking the size of the signal area, or raise the coil and see how high it gets before the signal breaks up. The Vaquero is a very capable machine take some time to learn it.
