Va. Beach parking

Dug Silvers

New member
Heading to Virginia Beach pretty soon. Looking for advice on parking, lots, or meters. Also, what's the rule on night hunting, or at least early morning? You guys seem to know. Dug Silvers

Lets see, some areas are no parking 2:30am to 6 am, some areas open 24/7, its 9 quarters for 3 hours at the meters. Maximum is 3 hours at a time, keep putting more coins in, the hours stop going up at 3. Not sure what the parking garages are though. Free parking on 36th at the Chuch, 33rd or 34th i think has a post office or apartments or something u can park infront of. Only like 2 spots there though. Hope to see ya in the lane!! HH

Three blocks off the ocean front and on and around 24th Street there is free parking from 6 AM to 8 PM. You pull inside the cul-de-sac.

There are several city lots up to $7.00 a day on 9th (parking garage), 19th open lot, 25th - open lot. They are 1 or 2 blocks from the ocean front.

Down past the Cavalier Hotel (33rd) you can start to park on the side streets on the right.

Good luck.
