VA BEACH HUNTER--WHAT IS IS HANDLE

Relic hunter: In hot ground there are a couple of things you can try. You can reduce the sensitivity to smooth the threshold or put the sensitivity in auto. I would make sure the Iron mask is on. You will need to swing the coil very slow and as close to the ground as possible. It also has a track mode for all metal, which will automatically ground balance the detector in all metal. Either way, if you are having difficulty ground balancing the detector, it it best to reduce the sensitivity and slow your swing down. Lately, I have been hunting with Va. Beach Mike and Dalton with our GT's and we have come to the conclusion that the coils need to be as close to the ground as possible. We were all hunting a farm with some left over cotton stalks sticking out of the ground about 3" inches and we all agreed we were losing some depth. We are all using the S-12 Sun ray coils, but another option for you would be to get a smaller coil. Good luck.
