V3X DEPTH

I found an lake that have not been hunted with many good finds so far. The detector that I currently use does a really good job but my finds are seem to be only a few inches down. The lake has been used for a swimming area for many years and I really believe that I am missing some really good stuff other that what I am finding. I would like to get a least 12''. How is the V3X dept wise. I really like the features it has. I know that it is not water-proof. The area that I hunt in is 3 - 4ft. I will be using it for land hunting also. Thanks.

Correction, I meant VX3.

The VX3 is a "V" and will perform well. Telling you it will punch to 12" inches in your spot would be conjecture only as all dirt is not the same. (I'd find someone with a "V" close to you and check it out if you can.) The machine you have now (Checked your postings.) should do better than a few inches easily? Sounds like you have great spots and enjoy!

Depth has a lot to do with the ground you are hunting in so 12 inches could be hard on any machine...no right or wrong answer on this one.

It all depends on the mineralization and trash. If you were on a low mineralized beach..... no problem.

Reddog, as Larry alluded to, you need to give the conditions.
What does the ground probe say as far as mineralization? What is the EMI like?
