Welcome to the forum and your new V3i, the V3i forum is full of tips and ideas to get the best from it. Between the forum and the owners manual, you have your work cut out for you. The best help I have for your right now is to just use the V and have fun. Don't do too many changes until you are comfortable using it. I might suggest starting off with the Hi Pro program and go find some goodies.
best advice i can say startin off is dont crank the settings way up dont need it super hot . itll find stuff . find yourself a totlot with lots of bark where all you gotta do is kick the stuff out of the way to what you got. you can get a real good handle on things in a hurry when you dont have to dig a ton of holes to see whats goin on. i was in 1 the other day and got 62 coins in a hr. needles to say you can gather alot of info on whats goin on in that hour for sure. and no holes dug. goodluck and keep the faith you have an awesome machine. read the forums these guys are great here and over at whites forum. they can tell ya anything you need to know. goodluck have fun
