V3i with wireless & Pinpointer II

New member
I was using the pinpointer in audio mode and the wireless headphones were picking up some "static" from it.
I switched over to vibration mode and there was no static.
Is this a normal condition?
Can a tech savy person enlighten me on why this occurs?

Just change the channel of your headphones, that

I have had the same thing happen.......sometimes when I use the pinpointer.....a split second before the tone sounds....the detector will start talking also.

Change of the magnetic field ....the coil is like a big antenna looking for things...so to speak
