V3i Switch Reversal

I am having trouble with my pin pointers. Just can not hear them. I am thinking of buying a Sunray and reversing the switches.

If this is possible I want the forward position to be Pin Point and the Rear analyze.

Is this possible?

I'm not sure what you want to accomplish. If I read you right the answer would be NO without a different switch.

Thanks but I answered my own question kind of. You can program the forward switch position to stay on Pin Point. You can not program the rear position to Analyze in Sizing or Polor Plot. Which is fine if I put on a Sunray I could pin point in the Discriminate Mode with the Sunray they switch the switch forward to make it go all metal pin point.

When I used a SunRay that's what I did. I could flip the switch forward so I didn't need to hold the pinpoint switch when using the in line. Good luck.

Rob what did you think of the Sunray and was it plenty loud?

Hunted just a little today and really had trouble finding coins with the TRX. Seemed like there was metal everywhere. Pin Pointing in Discriminate would be the cats Meow.

Daddyflea the Sunray is going to be as loud as your detector. So if you can hear your detector then you won't have a problem . If you wear headphones you will hear the pinpointer thru the head phones. GS

Thanks that is what I thought but some Guy has sent me some PMs saying that if I could not hear the Pistol Probe I would not hear the Sunray. My detector is more than plenty loud. I wear the DetectorPro Rattlers and so far they have been great for me.

It is as loud as you want. It will be as loud as you are hearing the targets from the V3i through the headphones. You just turn up the V3i target audio.

The main advantage to the DX1 was it discriminated so you weren't chasing ferrous in a deep hole. The disadvantage was it added weight to the detector and the dangling cord.
