V3i Questions

triple nickel

New member
Went out with the V3i yesterday to try it out for the first time since getting it back from Sweet Home. I've only had it since March and at times become overwhelmed with all the settings. How do I change to correlate and turn modulation off? Also where do I change the span and wrap? Thanks in advance.

Hello;
If you have your V3 manual turn to page 48 , In your frenquency chart at the bottom you will see best data is on,correlate is off on coin and coin/jewelry programs,click the program you want to change. after you do go to your 6 chart menu and go to frenquency, arrow down to best data and turn it off then turn correlate on. below correlate you,ll see where to change span and wrap settings..
Hope this helps :biggrin:

I know how you feel! I had a V3 and it drove me nuts!

You should look at the Minelab Safari. A Full Band Spectrum machine that is easy to use
and will out hunt the V3.

Good Luck!

Many of us have actually developed comfortably with this machine and to say it drove you nuts is saying more about what you like than a good judgment call. (It just sounds and acts SWEET to me!) This new V3 is deadly.

In fact....I'm going to go out right now, do a down and dirty FAST SWEEP jewelry hunt, a little next to a chain link action, a hot rock hell play ground and all under overhead power lines. It'll be in the dark...with a huge color LCD, audio tones and size of visuals adjusted to my hearing, eyesight and preferences.

I'll finish off the evening with a slow scrub hunt and maybe (just maybe) find another Seated Dime at 9+ inches (touching iron)! Oh yeah! The first one was with a 6 inch coil!

And you know what? We've actually learned it well enough.....so it's real easy to use too!

Which forum do you think your on anyways?:rofl: Enjoy your Safari! (No doubt a good machine.)
