V3I pros and cons

Thinking about getting one in the near future. I am sure there will be a big learning curve for sure. Currently using a CZ3D and Sovereign Gt and now want one with the bells and whisles. Should have all the bases cover.
Have also looked at the E-trac but seems like the customer service at Whites beats Minelabs so the V3I might be the way to go.

So what are the pros and cons guys.

Any info is appericated.
Thanks

First lets start with the real problems of the v3i.... Here are the top 5 that I could come up with.

1. You will find so many targets you will get sore digging.
2. It ability to sniff out gold is like no other relic detector ever made. This means that once you hunt a sight with the v3i there will be no gold to find later on with your other detectors.
3. Its huge ability for customization gets some people lost because they dont first learn how to ride with training wheels. But if you take it slow, wow.
4. The wireless headphones makes your expensive set of wired headphone obsolete.
5. Whites customer service is so great that you will want to spend more money at Whites Head factory in Sweethome and that will require a vacation.

I have owned an e-trac once, it is somewhere in Russia right now. I live in California, the e-trac was a nice machine and its fsb technology really does go deep. However a trained ear with the v3i and a SEF 10x12 have no equal comparison in overall performance and value.

V3i is a very versitile detector. I tend to dig a better trash to treasure ratio then with other machines. Build quality is excellent and Whites customer service I hear is very classy, I haven't had to deal with them though. May take a little time to learn menu system and get a program you like, but once you do the machine is turn on and go.

Well said Burlbark. The V3i with the 10x12 is unstoppable and it you grid searched and are from multiple directions in all metal /mixed mode if you dug everything in that area there would not be another target to find by the etrac or any other detector, it that are would literally be hunted out.

I really do appericate the replys guys and if i was hunting a beach or and area without much trash that would be great. Not real sure my Sovereign would not give the same results. 2nd thoughts,i know it would.
