V3i or VX3

I now have a Whites Prizm 5G and I would like to up grade to the V3i or the VX3. I'm not very comfortable using computers so I'm thinking the VX3 might be a better detector for me. From what I have read it seems the VX3 is more of a turn on and go with less programing to do. I would appreciate any input I can get.

If you don't like to fiddle and tweak, I would suggest the VX3, the V3i has almost unlimited adjustability which overwhelms some people.

pollock67, Your Right the VX3 is Like the V3i with 1/2 the bells N Whistles, $400 bucks cheaper i think thats cool????
I think it is all the Detector we will need, I think Whites made a good move, I got one on the way, mickfin,

I've had them both out to two large places I detect and both do just as well for the targets I'm digging...jewelry and deep clad. These places were the perfect spots to test because depending on where you search, conditions were as varied as possible. (Except mineralization was super low everywhere.) Fill full of iron scrap, EMI, spots of foil and can slaw nastiness, and clean open ground. Both machines did exactly the same (generally speaking) and the VX3 never left me wanting. In your case... it won't leave you wanting either I bet. Your going to love it mickfin, and bet you would too pollack. I do like fiddling...but appreciate it when I don't need to also. Scott

I thank everyone for you input it has been very help full. I will be going with the VX3 when I'm ready to buy. Thanks again.

the v3i and vx3 are both turn on and go , but when u get bored theres way more flexibility with the v3i, but if you only detect once in a while and arent a metal detecting addict the vx3 is your best bet. if your hardcore the v3i is for u. just because the adjustments are there ,you dont have to use them till your ready.

That is exactly correct. A V3i can be adjusted to run exactly like the VX3.
