Got the token coin at the fair ground that I am hunting, on the scooter field here what I no they were made form copper from the Statue of Liberty during the restoration in 1986 . here the details http://www.check-six.com/mall/LibertyMedallion.htm how cool is this find the go news is that I have fifteen of these coins so far.
 
It find of makes you wonder doesn't it.............. 15 of them.......... those are neat finds Tim.
 
They were sold in the Sears catalog.

Those are really nice coins to find. But was it a restoration or a removal?!

Wonder if they were prizes or something cause that is an awful lot to lose. But, looks like they have some value now.

earthmansurfer there was materials removed and the coin was made from that copper I am going back up there tomorrow to see if I can find some more :twodetecting::whites::thumbup:
