V3i coil recommendation needed-please help

Hey guys. Your help is appreciated. I am wanting a V3i rated coil that is as LARGE as practical but will still pick up single coins and small items yet is as light as possible. I'm sure everyone wants one like that. I recently hunted with a group of guys for 2 weeks that had different machines. One fellow had a Bigfoot coil on an different model White's detector and several other guys had a WOT (Wild Orange Thing) on a different brand machine. I liked both coils and they produced very good results. As far as I know the Bigfoot is no longer made and the WOT is not available for the V3i. I was in Kellyco this week (I live 30 minutes from them) and looked at the 15" SEF coil which is available for the V3i. That might be the ticket but I want to know first of all available options. I would really like a lighter coil than the SEF and still be in the 15" area. Is there anything out there comparable to the Bigfoot? It covers a huge area yet is light. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use the SEF 10X12, good coverage and depth and not very heavy. The larger SEF coils are much heavier and from what I'm told, not much more in depth. The Bigfoot is good for coverage but lacks in depth.

I'll second the 10x12 recommendation though it's not technically "v-rated" it runs perfectly on my machine.

Thank you for the coil tips. I am assuming that if I use the SEF 10x12 or the 15"coil that for my coil selection on the V3i I would choose the largest one listed on the menu?

Why would you get a 10x12 SEF when you can get a V rated Whites 12

Thanks again fellas. Great stuff especially with different opinions which help. I wasn't aware of the $100.00 White's coupons which I can take advantage of one way or the other. I like saving money. Sounds like the White's or the SEF 12's would suffice for my needs. My 2 main concerns is the coil weight and the coverage area. Believe it or not I am not concerned so much about the depth. I just got back from a 2 week hunt in England. I was swinging for 14 straight days-9 hours a day, walking many miles every day. My back took a beating even with a swingy thingy which I used sparingly. Before going back I want a coil that has maximum width coverage and weighs as little as possible. I am hunting fields that have just been plowed and rolled so most of the potential finds are close the the surface. I can also use that kind of coil at the beach which is just an hour from home. I still like what I've seen with the Bigfoot for coverage and weight but did not know they were usable on a V3i. I may explore obtaining one of those since I have plenty of time before going across the big pond again.

This is why I love this forum. Thanks again to everyone.....Rob
