V3i and 5.3 eclipse

New member
i'm not a coin hunter per se, but i wanted to try the 5.3 eclipse in a place that i knew was trashy cause i been there before.... This day I dug some bottle caps, tabs, can slaw, copper wire, and other trash, but i did get a few coins at this old house place. I'm gonna say for now i like the 5.3 eclipse coil.

If it is an old house + trash there could be some nice finds left. The 5.3 is my small coil.

it is an old house place, built turn of the century, "house still standing", and i used my big coils there before and it was just too trashy. Lived in until mid 19-eighties. I believe the potential is there. Also as a relic hunter i think i may have been missing out on some things cause i like to use BIG coils all the time..

Good job there. I believe that both the 4x6 and 5.3 coils are excellent. In certain areas, sometimes they provide more effective depth than the 9.5 or 10" coils. Your old house site may be one of them! Best of luck and...
