V3i .............. 8" Clad Quarter

Elton

New member
V3i hit it hard........... Coins Preset with sens to 85 ..10 Pass filter .......... Recovery speed 85.

Pleases me to hit an at depth coin..Oh it was slightly angled too. The Garrett pinpointer was down to the top almost ..I think it is 9" if I remember right.. so giving that I'll say 8 on quarter ..

She sure is a deep machine. You sure have to listen to find the deep ones and have it set up properly.

Wait till you get the coil over a silver quarter or a half in good soil.:surprised:

8 inches is very good for a clad quarter Elton, I think you are going to like that detector.

Nice going Elton, next is the 8" dime.

I like many others from what I have read, was thinking to complicated with all the settings.

It's starting to come together for me by preset, small adjustments, and getting that Filter right.. Later today I took TX up one number, and nailed a 6" nickle with good readings and solid Audio.

I will work up the TX as I go............. not worry so much about all the analyze stuff .. Larry I tried your favorite. The Hi Pro setting... Wow..that brought out some targets .....

You really can't go wrong with HI Pro, stock Elton. Sure you will make some adjustments but don't try to do too much too fast or you will become overwhelmed and give up as many have in the past. Get out, as you are, and have fun and the learning will come naturally as you wonder what this or that is and what it does.

I buried a coin as " you suggested"....... Maintained my most normal use swing speed.Changed the filters till I was getting a consistent good audio and ID. I really appreciate the (EMI) and No (EMI) filter settings instructions.......:clapping:

I was watching all the videos on youtube..... getting confused about what did what, and after speaking with several people, Found many of the users Youtube videos instructions posted, were in fact wrong for me. My ground, my type swing etc...Some were just plain wrong for anyones settings LOL...

Again, thank you very much for your assistance Anne
