Having problems with headphones, they switch themselves off after 15-20 mins, changed batts, checked spring tension even packed side cover with foam, also looked at channel reception its ok and power output. It is the same on my own in the field or with other detectorists, and I also pull the trigger switch to stop auto shut down .Why did whites not use bluetooth. PS my mate has the same problem with his v3.Thanks the ferret...............

Wow, seems like you and the detectorists you know are having problems that we aren't having. Where are you and all the people you know who are having the problem located? I've used and tested at least 5 Vision, V3 and V3i detectors. None have had the problem you mention. I've searched the forum but can't find a pattern of problems you mention. I would have my dealer check them out.
The phones are warrantied but I can't understand why so many people you know are having the problem ?????

Oops, I checked you are in the U.K. Could you give me a link to where this problem is being discussed, I'd really like to check it out. Is it a UK site?
Bluetooth is too slow, the delay is not an option.

Where is your power level set? Some people have it set too low for their conditions.

Bluetooth technology would not even come close to White's WHP. Do you check the battery voltage when the WHP shut off? If the batteries are dead I would say you and your mate are using old batteries that don't have a full charge on them when you start. New alkalines should provide around 20 hours or more of use and rechargeables slightly less, cheap rechargeables, a lot less. What kind of batteries are you using?

It was brought to my attention that a lower power level, like one, the WHP could drop out. Power level of at least three should be used.

Another fix some times is to put a shim of sort between the batteries and the cap.I have heard of them moving just enuff to shut down. Have you moved the bats around a bit and tried restarting the head phones . Another thing is some rechargeables don't hold enuff power . Thoughts to check. Yazoo

No problem here except the dreaded pop once every couple of hunts..... it usually happens when I am on the shoreline expecting a big breaker to sweep me away....:stretcher: It about gave me a heart attack the last time. I jumped a solid foot back and stumbled myself steady.

I get that once per outing. It seems like the sky is falling each time!

I said he did the foam trick. We all have heard the pop. I've heard it on both sets I've owned. I'm sure they are running power level 1.

The ferret here,in reply to suggestions about WHPs I am in the old country over the big pond, Lincolnshire England. Power level run at 3. I know you can have signal problems below 3 sometimes. Have had a talk with whites uk and if i can't sort it ,they will check out for me if I send v3I & WHPs to them ,Thanks.........

From the ferret ,altered channel to 10, turned off speaker on machine, also offset frequency, have been out five times to test it,works OK.Also less chatter from other machines.:Thanks the ferret
