V3 - Stock 10" vs Super 12 Coil

I have been using the "detector formally known as vision" for the last 3 weeks. Most of my detecting has been with the stock 10.5" D2 coil. My results have been surprising. Pre V3, silver was something that I found every once in while. Now it is coming out of the ground nearly every outing. I am reworking sites that I thought I had cleaned out, and other sites that other folks thought they had cleaned out...

I would like to hear from those who have used both the D2 and the Super 12 coil on the V3. What are your impressions?

On a separate note, I picked up a 5.3 Eclipse coil and tried it out. The 5.3 doesn't go as deep as the 10.5, but I didn't expect it to. It ran quiet and I was able to run up the RX gain, even with TX boost enabled. The D2 will definitely let you know if you if have the RX gain to high, while the 5.3 seems to be much more forgiving. I worked a trashy area along the edge of sidewalk that I thought I cleaned out with the D2. Going back over it with the 5.3 yielded a bunch more goodies. Definitely a keeper.

I found a 53 dime at 12" with my Vision using the super 12 coil. I was in deep silver mode stock.
My hunting buddy had his stock D2 coil on and I had him come over and sweep the spot before I dug it up and his did pick up on it but not so great. It seemed that using the super 12 give me a slight better advantage and depth over the same machine, (Vision) using the stock D2.

Several reports now about excellent depth with the V comparable or better then with any other discriminating detector.

What I would really like to see ( cant wait until i see myself ) is what it can do with the small 5,3 or both the small ellipticals on full throttle...

I mean so Hot that it is nearly unbearable and with the afterburner ( boost ) on.....

Got some places i will gladly go over the top...

Question........ is all the white's Super 12 coil's serial number start with V (V3 compatible) As hate to buy a used super 12 and it don't have the V serial number ?

It has a "V"...It will be compatible!
