Hi all going to get a V3 in Jan--

When did the newer V3 come out im a little confused on the history?

V3I little to much right now so have to go with the V3.

Any Help would be helpful on the V3 on the different models of it.

Thanks

There really has only been two detectors. The original Vision and V3 are the same detector with a name change for legal purposes. The other detector is the present V3i. Only the V3i is in production. So unless you can find a used V3 that hasn't been upgraded to a V3i the V3i is your only choice to buy new.

VX3 came out last spring. Forget the exact date.

Vision = V3, just had to be renamed since it was accidentally using the same name as a different company's machine.
V3i came out a (year?) later, with some upgrades and feature additions.
Then the VX3 which is the simplified version.

Comparison between V3i and VX3

V3i comes with D2 10" DD Coil
VX3 comes with 950 Eclipse

V3i comes with AA Battery pack PLUS NiMH Rechargeable pack & Charger
VX3 comes with AA Battery pack Only

V3i has five search modes Spectragraph, Pinpoint, Plus 3 analysis modes
VX3 has Spectragraph, Pinpoint

V3i is much more configurable than the Vx3 via expert menu.

I am sure there is more but it is 2AM here...
