I received my V3 in early December, and last week was its first test. I went to a local high school built in the late 40's. Among acres of snow covered fields I was able to find a small section showing green grass. I turned on my V3 and programed to Coin and got started. Within my first 10 minutes of swinging I received a hit 7 inches down that read coin. I was so excited to get a hit that deep so soon, that I never even looked at the VDI #. And sure enough at 7inches down was a 1943 Mercury dime, my first of the year!
I continued detecting for another 2-3 hours and left that small section of grass with 3 Mercury dimes 1943,37,45 and a dozen Wheat cents the oldest being 1917, and one Roosevelt 1956 dime. I believe this weekend I will be spending longer than 2-3 hours
