I've been hunting this area for quite some time, along with some other friends.
I figured it was shelled out.
First time there with the V3 and got these at 9.5 inches, all in the one hole!
I had the V3 set on one frequency,22.5.It was interesting reading the graphs,
3 sizes showing up on the analize screen and a solid 87 Vdi.

Nice finds Butch! Did the provinces mint thier own coins,I notice the one says Newfoundland?

Hi,
Yes,we had our own mintage of coins here in Newfoundland, from 1865 to 1947,some very special pieces which also include a two dollar gold coin, which is unique because it's the only coin in the world with the denomination on it THREE times,eg: two dollars,100 pence,200 cents.
We are currently hunting an ex U.S military base and finding a fair number of U.S coins.

Love the Newfy stuff. I've been involved in numismatics since a kid (and am now working in a coin shop). Coins from Newfoundland are getting less common and we have seen some added pressure from not only our Canadian customers, but typical US "only"collectors too. With the softness in the economy, we do see it coming in a bit but, it gets snapped up. (Silver especially.) A few years back, only AU/UNC stuff moved...now it all does. People are "waking up". Nice finds!!

No,Pleasantville, right in St.John's.We went down there this evening for an hour and
got a Canadian 1928 quarter,plus the usual bric-brac.
