V3 audio mode

Does the V3 have an option to change audio to analog or digital? I like the ability to listen to the true signal level and understand signals better. I think the MXT audio is analog.

No, there is no such adjustment and I believe you are incorrect about the MXT.

You can switch to all metal search. That will sound audio volume (and frequency if you have VCO on) based on the signal strength rather than the target ID.

Thank you Anne, :wiggle:

Thanks, I would like to get a V3 but I am nervous I will get one and a V4 will be released the following week, I think the next V model will be a great detector I wonder when it will be released.

I think you will have a very long wait for the V4........ and think of all of the finds and fun you will be missing by not having a V3i.

I don't think we will see a V4 for a while and the V3i is already a great machine, but that is MHO. The V3i would need some new technlogy to improve on its performance. About all I could see at this point would be a way to update over the internet and a wireless pinpointer. Neither of these would increase the actual performance of the unit.

I feel the V will hold its own with the big M and in some cases work better.
