V Rated Coils

Does a non-V rated coil work just as well on a MXT and M6 as a V rated one does. Is there any difference at all when using a non- V rated coil on a MXT and M6?

Thanks

Yep, they should work fine. A V rated or nulled coil is primarily tweaked for the 22.5 kHz channel of the V series.

The important fact is you won't get any benefit from using a V rated coil except on a detector using the 22.5 frequency. For you a non V rated coil can many times be bought used as a bargain. As I remember you also have have a V3i so the advantage of a V rated coil is you can use it on both of your detectors.

Thanks for the info.
