while reading some of the new features of version 4.0 i see where it says " target normalization is on by default". YUK..

http://www.xp-detectors.co.uk/xp-deus-version-4-new-features/

i don't want to jump to conclusions YET but I HOPE that it can be turned off of each installed program and left off once the machine is turned back on again. otherwise we would have to do that every time, that would be a PITA. OR, create programs that don't have normalization on. I hope there are a lot of empty slots.

I also heard that silencer has not been changed so we still have to adjust that each and every time that we adjust the reactivity. Another PITA.

if it weren't for the wireless probe i would stay with v 3.2

sounds like 2 steps forward and one step back.

i dont know how well the hot and the deep programs will work here or if they are more for Europe and the UK.

i am interested in the new X Y screen. I have played with it a little but I think that I will work with it a little more to see if it really can help.

also looking forward to the cell phone sync up. that may provide us with some useful information.

that's all for now. Can't wait for the probe.

Did version. 4 get rid of the when a person changes reactivity,,,,the silencer changes.
I really hate that on 3.2,,, why in the world did they do the way they did here.

I hope so... for some reason I was thinking that I would have to turn it off of each program individually and that it would turn back on when the machine was powered off.

Yup u can still turn it off

I haven't had much time to play with it, but yup can turn it off. Heading back to work now so wont be able try much for a few days dang it

I'm quite annoyed they didn't break the bond between Reactivity and Silencer, as a Deus newly I'd forget to change Silencer and it would KILL my depth. I often switch between Reac 1 and 2 and really can't stand always having to change my Silencer.
Sure would like to know a reason why they need to be attached at the hip.

ME TOO!!! I switch between 2 and 3 a lot and then have to adjust silencer every time as well.
