My Back Light wont turn on till #5 setting , Did this happen to anybody????? Mickfin

No I run mine at 2. Rpb

Im pretty sure I saw somewhere that Bob from Whites said this was normal

This is part of a post Bob posted.

TX Boost with the 2.5 kHz frequency will give battery life of 4 hours. The backlight will draw around 65 mils at (20). At a setting of 1 to 3 the current draw is not a concern. I usually run the backlight off. The current draw for the wireless transmitter is 7 to 15mA at 10V. I use a power setting of 5 to 7 on the wireless headphones.

You can see he is talking about a setting of 1 to 3 for the back light. Like I said I run mine at a setting of 2. So if he mentions a setting of 1 to 3 and I can run a 2 something is not right. Rob

That's funny -- and I actually have had the same problem. If I don't keep the coil well out in front of me, it picks up the metal eyelets from the straps on my walking shoes!

What good would it do to have the numbers 1-2-3-4--If there were not supposed to work---Heck send it in get it fixed so you will not use so much battery power---Good excuse to make a trip to Sweet Home IF you don't want to send it !

My Vision(early model) sounds like it does the same thing. settings 1 and 2 do nothing, 3 is dark, but I get a flicker of change intermittently. at 4, it flickers, but know it stays on the brighter side of the flicker(hope that makes sense). Finally at 5 I get a steady change in back lighting and 6-20 give me what you would expect. Is this a known issue White's? Not a big deal to me personally, unless it is a sign of an underlying issue or potential future issue. Looking forward to hearing the response.

Anyone? I've very curious to see if this is an isolated issue or not.

Sounds like not too many have the problem. Rob:bouncy:

To my knowledge, we've never seen a V3 with this problem.

Mine definitely does it, but does not seem to effect performance. Maybe I'll send it in once winter is in full force here.
