Here we have HER![attachment 48968 BattleshipCove003.jpg] The USS MASSACHUSETTS! 680 FEET in LENGTH! 108 FOOT BEAM!(width for u landlubbers!:D ) She was the FIRST American Battleship in history,to defeat an enemy battleship in combat. Fought in 35 battles in WWII,downed 39 aircraft,5 ships,and NEVER lost a man in combat! As i mentioned before,she is also home to the National PT Boat Museum,which is a "must see".She is also the official memorial to WWII and the Persion war,for The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.She also has the distinction of firing the First,and Last 16" shells during WWII,in combat.[attachment 48971 BattleshipCove030.jpg][attachment 48975 BattleshipCove035.jpg] A little tough to get a photo of the complete ship.
