General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

USPS Package Services What A Joke!!!

I done a detector trade with a forum member on here I shipped mine by Priority mail and he shipped his by USPS Package Services he received his machine in two days and I have yet to receive the one he sent me. Hopefully it may get here by the end of the week. But I'm not happy about it at all!! Before I done the trade I sent him a message telling him I would ship my machine Priority Mail with tracking number and I told him I'd appreciate it if he'd do the same for me and he said sure no problem. Well he didn't hold up his end of the deal, I guess due to the extra cost to use Priority mail. Either way I ain't got no real bad feelings toward the member cause he can't control stupid which is what the Postal Service is anymore, no wonder they're going bankrupt. Check out the shipping info below and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's been to a couple of the post offices twice!!

Post office quoted me 44 dollars to ship priority from indiana to sacramento on a deus coil asked them to check it again but that was the price so i sent it usps ground for 13 dollars then added ins and signature to it,

most detectors sent priority have only costed 20 dollars for me...
 
It costed me $18.87 to ship the machine Priority with delivery confirmation.
 
Good luck Junior.I myself will not use USPS for packages ever again...Two bad deliveries in a row broke me. UPS all the way... Cheaper, in most cases faster, with competent tracking..and far less damage potential..

...................... It is a travesty what our Postal system has become.... and sadly it is getting worse..NOT Better !!
 
Yep Elton I've got my belly full on this transaction. I just hope he packaged it well and it arrives in one piece.
 
Wow i use usps for everything and have never had one single issue since becoming an ebay member in 2001. He sent the detector parcel post?? That can take up to several weeks lol that is the fault of the shipper not service. Post office isnt going bankrupt , they get no money from government its all based on sales and shipping. But the government runs the post office. The government is making the postal service pre pay for future retired peoples benefits!! People that havent started for post office yet lol. Their business is making a good profit but spending billions on benefits is hurting them. Go priority all the way!! Ive had issues with fed x and ups on several occasions which is why i only use usps now. Never ever use parcel post either!!
 
I wish I could say the same for UPS, but just had too many bad experiences with UPS and had had some packages travel around the USA for 2 weeks and one that was in and out the same terminal for 14 days.
With the USPS I use only priority mail for my packages and going east or west from ND take no longer than 3 days and going south is 3-4 days, but going into Canada can take a while because of customs. I am sold on the USPS and remember 2 case where there was a problem, on was on 911 when I sent a letter with cash in to my daughter and it took 10 days to get there and had a detector sent to a guy that hadn't received it after a week to find out it was sitting at his post office and he wasn't notified it had came.
 
Well I got the machine finally today, luckily no damage done to it!
 
I was told a secret "maybe not exactly a secret?" from a usps worker. I was talking about the high price I was paying to send my Garrett Gizmo's using priority mail. He said as long as your package was 13 ounces or less then 1st class mail was just as fast for a lot cheaper. He said that usps ships all 1st class mail with Priority to save money and they take the exact same ride as Priority. Even international mail. My Gizmo's are 6oz shipping weight so I decided to try his theory. He was correct as most all of them get delivered in 2 to 3 days just like Priority mail. Give it a try if you have anything under 13oz shipping weight.
 
You are correct Kenny on that my wife uses it all the time to ship stuff she sales online. But on heavier items like a detector Priority mail is the best thing to use besides another carrier.
 
I think Priority had a jump in price recently. At least it seamed that way on the last couple of detectors I shipped...........
 
Yes the price has gone up! I remember a time when it would cost 10-15 dollars tops to ship a machine now it's closer to 20.
 
under 13 oz first class
14oz - 3lb 15oz priority
4lbs + priority flat rate if it fits or priority if really close or fedex

UPS = never!


For my area anyway. Almost all location are 2 day USPS or 3 day fedex for me to ship out. UPS drivers in my area frequently use "exceptions" for deliveries on the end of long routes if they need to get back sooner or are lazy. I'm on the end of one of those routes and have many many problems.
 
I've had hit or miss service.........if its on the east coast though out the south to mid west no probs but man when I receive from the west coast it takes dam near forever to get hear now from California standard service use to take 5 days now the vaq I'm getting was shipped last sat and won't receive til Tuesday ridiculous.............but I will say when I use to sell old bottles they were never broke unlike ups
