I been busy at work and final get out due some Relic Hunting today in Va. I found the nice U.S. Box Plate in hit hilt camp over 15+ inches deep. The X-70 with 10.5 DD is great go DEEP and find other targets that other miss!!! Just hunt in All- Metal, two tones, and hunt slow!!! Chuck

Very nice, I just started using my 10.5. Let's see what I can do.

Only a fraction of the mass of your buckle, a superb find by the way.

My buckle gave a solid hit that would not go away and when I pulled the frame of the buckle out I made another pass over the hole and got a hit and recovered the other parts which I estimate to be less than half the weight of the buckle. The hole had 3" of water in it so I could not eyeball the pieces in the bottom.

I showed this last summer but what the heck. I thought 1770s but some think it s closer to 1750s. From a mans shoe.

Great find! The big coil sure gets it done, congrats!

wow 15 inches?!!! that is insane! The deepest target I have found was a seated dime at 9" so I am sure something as large as the buckle could be found that deep, congrats!

Very nice find Chuck. I remember the first US plate that I pulled from the ground near Cold Harbor some 30 yrs ago.
I was using a Metrotech 220 back then. Would like to search the same area again with my X-70 and 10.5 DD coil.
Way to go and hope to see more post like this one. TomB
