I would suggest you
1. Go slow
2. Overlap your swings.
3. Dig every signal at first until you start recognizing the signal and what your display is telling you.
4. Fill in your holes.
5. Get permission to MD on private property.
6. Start with your own property.
7. Look around the base of trees.
8. If the place is older look under the clothes line.
9. If there was a dug well look around it.
10. Check the ground and rocks of a rock wall.
11. Check the trash dump of an older home.
12. If they had an outhouse check the ground there. It's dirt now unless someone is still using it.
13. Check the grass betweent he sidewalk and the street. I don't care what anyone says the law here is that area is private property and you will need permission for someone else's property.
