Using the Garrett ACE 150 in wet weather conditions?

New member
Hi there!
I live in Ireland, and it rains 24/7
I wonder, if I use the ACE 150 in very long wet grass, will it get damaged?

I could be wrong but I believe the coil is water proof so as long as you don't get the control box wet you should be all set.

No problem with the coil in water or wet grass..Don't get the main housing in water or its toast.
You can buy a waterproof bonnet for the housing to hunt in misty conditions
I've used a clear plastic bag to cover the housing in those condition.,

Just wrap the control box in clear plastic sandwich wrap. Make sure the cable connector is wrapped as well.
It will work just fine. I just tried that a couple days ago. The coil is water proof.

Hmmm. Never thought about the coil connector. I was out in the mist today and forgot to cover the connector and was getting a few more false signals than usual. Thankss:ninja:
