Using the coil off of a compadre..

I'm just taking a guess here, but from what I'm seeing, I could just take the 5.75 coil off a Compadre, add a 5 pin jack and it will work with any of the 5 pin Tesoros?

Kool  very strange I understand some of what he was saying must have hung around a few Italians .

I am thinking about doing some mods myself when I get time rich

let us know how you go with the CSC?

The Compadre coil works fine on other 5 pin detectors. I have used it on an Oultaw, and Silver with no problems. I did test the Compadre with the CSC and the 10x12 wide scan and found the results to be pretty poor. If you already have one then go for it but I didnt like the setup.

The goal is, to just have the Compadre as a back up and something to tinker with when its cold out. Having a extra coil that will work on my Bandido is a plus as-well. The 5.75 is 99$ and a used Compadre comes in close to that..

I would rather buy the used Compadre and have a neat backup with mods plus gain an extra coil for my Bandido.

yep get 2 for the price of one and have some fun and learn something in the mean time cant lose really !!
